Job Description

We are looking for an HR Assistant to join our team at our Tuas location, offering a permanent role with a competitive salary of $2,200 – $2,800, plus Annual Wage Supplement (AWS) and Variable Bonus (VB). This position operates on a 5.5-day workweek (Mon-Fri: 8:30am–5pm, alternate Saturdays: 8:30am–12:30pm) and provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic wholesaler environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Manage daily HR operations including employee records, leave tracking, and attendance monitoring.
  • Assist in recruitment by posting job openings, coordinating interviews, and supporting onboarding processes.
  • Prepare and maintain employment contracts, HR letters, and confidential personnel files.
  • Support payroll-related activities such as inputting attendance, overtime, claims, and allowances.
  • Handle work pass administration, including applications, renewals, and cancellations where applicable.
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes, including orientation, exit clearance, and document collection.
  • Assist with training arrangements, course registration, and updating training records.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, leave, claims, and administrative matters.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and documentation.
  • Provide general office and clerical support as needed.
  • Undertake any ad-hoc HR or administrative tasks as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

  • Diploma in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 1 year of relevant HR or administrative experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with core HR functions such as recruitment, payroll support, onboarding, leave administration, and employee record-keeping.
  • Knowledge of the Singapore Employment Act and work pass procedures is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle confidential information professionally.
  • Capable of working independently while managing multiple HR and administrative tasks efficiently.
