HSE Officer/Engineer/Lead

Location: Gul Road (company transport provided)

Working hours: 5.5 days work week

Salary (commensurate with experience): Up to $6,000 + Performance Bonus (Up to 6 months) + Flexi Benefits + OT pay (if required)

Industry: Marine & Construction Engineering (Listed & MNC Company)

Main Responsibilities:

Ensure provision of the Act and Regulations are complied with

Promote safe conduct of work in the yard

Liaise with WSHO or Safety Coordinator on the matter with regards to safety, health and welfare of people working in the yard

Conduct Safety Induction Programme

Ensure that appropriate personal protective equipment is used by the employees, contractors' workers and visitors

Conduct inspection tours at worksite

Report any unsafe conditions, equipment and housekeeping

Apply permit to work system as required by the procedures and regulations

Liaise with subcontractors’ safety supervisors with respect to safety of work undertaken by subcontractors

Ensure that all records of safety equipment are in order and properly maintained

Assist WSHO in the event of any incidents

Any other ad-hoc duties assigned

Requirements:

Bilingual in English and Mandarin to liaise with Chinese clients who can converse in Mandarin only

Minimum Diploma in Workplace Safety & Health/Engineering or related discipline

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in marine shipyard operations

Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements
