The Opportunity
Adecco is partnering our client, a famous US Tech MNC
We are looking for a Senior Accountant
The role will start out as a contract
Candidates who are immediately available/ able to start work within short notice will be preferred
The Talent
CPA/ Degree in Accounting or relevant qualification
Minimum 5 years accounting experience, with at least 3 years in Public Accounting
Experience in payroll and commission accounting preferred
Broad experience in local and regional/global GL accounting
Strong understanding of US and local GAAP for APAC and JAPAN
Experienced in Workday financials multi-currency and multi-country ledgers
Strong communication and presentation skills
Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent IT skills especially in Excel and Data analytics
Experience in Tableau preferred
Job Description
Part of the Team that takes charge of APJ GL operations, including payroll and commission accounting close
Responsible for monthly close activities including preparing of journal entries, with full SOX compliance
Ensure timely completion of all general ledger account reconciliation, with full SOX compliance
Prepare monthly P&L and balance sheet flux analyses for management reporting
Ensure compliance of the US and local GAAP accounting and provide accounting guidance to the team and the finance organization within the company
Co-ordinate with the US HQ Finance, other functions/regions to ensure compliance of Corporate Policies
Assist in annual audit with the external auditors and ensure local statutory audits are completed on time
Proactively identify improvement opportunities and drive global/regional finance initiatives to enhance Trust and operational efficiency
