Customer Service Executive


Job Description

We are hiring a Senior Airfreight Customer Service Executive to be based at Changi Cargo Complex, supporting operations within the freight forwarding and warehousing industry. This is a permanent position with a 5.5-day work week (Mon–Fri 9am–6pm, alternate Saturdays 9am–1pm), offering a competitive salary package with performance-based bonuses, making it ideal for experienced professionals seeking stability and growth in airfreight operations.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Act as the main liaison for key clients, addressing airfreight enquiries and service requirements.
  • Prepare and manage quotations for RFQs, ad-hoc requests, and project shipments with competitive pricing strategies.
  • Liaise with airlines, co-loaders, and vendors to secure favorable rates and ensure cargo space availability.
  • Monitor and follow up on quotations to drive successful conversion into confirmed shipments.
  • Share market intelligence such as pricing trends, cargo capacity, and peak season updates with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with operations, warehouse, and finance teams to ensure seamless execution of shipments.
  • Partner with the Sales/SOE team to support account management and business development initiatives.
  • Track shipment progress and proactively resolve any issues or exceptions that arise.
  • Maintain accurate and updated records in systems such as Shipthis.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members when required.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the airfreight or freight forwarding industry.
  • Solid knowledge of airfreight operations, pricing methodologies, and airline coordination processes.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing quotations and delivering strong customer service.
  • Familiarity with Singapore Customs procedures, including XO and OD permits, is advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively managing key client accounts.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics management systems.
